Fourth Ward Manor is a family-run, highly rated short- and mid-term rental property located in the heart of Charlotte’s historic Fourth Ward. With three beautifully maintained guest units and spacious on-site innkeeper accommodations, the property offers a warm, personal experience for every guest. We’re evolving from a short-term rental model into a boutique-style inn that delights visitors with morning breakfast snacks, evening hors d’oeuvres, and genuine Southern hospitality.
Position Overview:
We’re seeking a part-time, live-in innkeeper to oversee daily operations and contribute to the continued growth of Fourth Ward Manor. This is a unique opportunity for someone passionate about hospitality and eager to learn the business side of innkeeping. The ideal candidate will begin with hands-on responsibilities and, over time, grow into a key role managing guest relations, operations, and marketing.

Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Handle cleaning, laundry, supply replenishment, and coordination of guest parking permits.
- Guest Communication: Deliver warm, professional, and timely communication; build trusted relationships with guests and the owner.
- Reservations Management: Track bookings, monitor check-ins/outs, and note guest preferences (e.g., families vs. adults-only stays).
- Marketing Assistance: Support social media and other marketing initiatives to drive direct bookings; bonuses apply for successful conversions.
- Hospitality Excellence: Ensure all aspects of the guest experience—from cleanliness to comfort—are consistently delightful.
Schedule & Compensation:
The role requires availability 7 days a week from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Outside of turnover hours, your time is your own! This is a contract (1099) position. In addition to fully-furnished accommodates, you will be compensated at $1500 monthly for approximately 60 hours per month (15 per week), the equivalent of $25 per hour. Additional compensation opportunities are available for culinary or event contributions.
